Modern man is subjected to all
sorts of images from a vast number of television
networks, from the media, computers and printed matter.
However, all these images not only fail to reveal the
unique Icon, but actually are caricatures of it and,
therefore, they conceal the Icon. We are in fact, facing
another form of Iconoclasm. Fortunately, the Holy
Orthodox Icons reveal to us the true Icon of God the
Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and that of man who was
created to the image of God.
